FAQ
How
much do you charge for shipping?
All domestic shipping is
$6.85, no matter how much you buy.
Our shipping
charges vary for orders outside of the U.S. If the shipping
charge exceeds the amount paid, we will send you an invoice
for the additional amount, through Paypal.
How do you ship? What carriers do you use?
We ship either First
Class Mail, which is a 3-5 business day service, USPS Priority Mail, which is a 2-3 business day
service in the US,
or UPS for larger sized packages.
Most packages ship out USPS Priority Mail. We
reserve
the right to change shipping carriers or
shipping
methods at our
discretion due to special situations. If you'd like
us to expedite your order, please contact us @
skeinscene@sbcglobal.net and we will notify you of
the additional shipping charges, and send you a request
for payment through
PayPal.
All orders received
before 5pm, Central Standard Time will generally ship out
within 1 - 2 business days unless there is an
issue with your order.
If there is an issue, you will be contacted by the email
address you provided or the email that is listed on your
PayPal account. If you would like
to check the status of your order, you can email us @
skeinscene@sbcglobal.net
When I try to check out, it asks me to sign up for, or
sign in to a PayPal account. Can I
order without having to go through PayPal?
Yes. When you hit the
"Proceed to Check Out" button, it will take you to a
site that asks for your log in information for PayPal,
but if
you look on the
left hand side, you will see an option to check out
without a PayPal account. See below for what it looks
like.

Why use
PayPal?
- Use your credit
card online without exposing your card number to
merchants.
- Speed through
checkout. No need to enter your card number or address.

Use your credit card or bank
account (where available).

What if I want to
pay by check?
There are two ways
to pay by check. You can pay by e-check through
PayPal if you have a PayPal account. Once
your e-check clears
your account, your order will be
fulfilled. Sometimes it can take 5 days for an order
to clear your account, before PayPal will allow us
access to process your order.
The second option
is to send a check to our address. We will deposit
it into our bank account, and as soon as your check
clears, we
will send your order out. You would need
to email us to let us know you would like to pay by
check, with the items and quantities you
would like
to order. We will want to check our inventory to
ensure we can fill your order before you send the
check. Once we have
verified sufficient
inventory, we will notify you by email and you can send
us your check. The address to send your check is:

Can I place an
order with you over the phone?
At this time we do not take credit card orders over the phone. However, if you
have trouble ordering through out website, please send
us an email with the items you would like to order, and we'll be happy to send
you a 'request for payment' through PayPal. Once we
receive the payment, we can send your order right out to you.
Do you
charge Sales Tax?
We charge a tax rate of 8.25% for orders
shipping to or in the state of Texas.
What is your return
policy?
If for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the product
you purchased, you can return it within the
first 14 days
after you receive it.
Shipping cost is non-refundable,
unless we made an error in the shipment.
Please
include a note with your ordering information and
reason for
your return.

I
notice that you are out of stock on some colors.
How do
I order that color if I don't mind waiting for it?
If there is a specific
color that you are interested in that is out of stock, send
us an email, (skeinscene@sbcglobal.net) and in most cases we will be able to order it for you. We are happy
to honor the price that is in effect at the time of your
request. Most yarns only take a week for us to receive.
Once we receive your email, we will contact our distributor
to find out how long it will take for us to receive that
yarn, and we will contact you and let you know the estimated
time frame. Please include your contact phone number in your
email.
How do
I know if you will have the amount I order, in stock?
Our ordering
system has a way to check inventory status as your order
is placed. If we have enough in stock to complete your
order, then your order will go through without any
problems. If we do not, then, when you check out, you
will see a message on the left hand side of the screen
showing that we do not have enough in stock to fill your
order, and showing how many we actually do have in
stock. It will give you the option to order the amount
we have in stock at the present time.

our offerings with you. We provide secure ordering through PayPal to
ensure you have the highest protection of your

Knitting Books & Pattern Corrections
We
sometimes receive links to knitting pattern
corrections associated with the patterns and books we sell.
When we
receive
this corrected information, it will be made
available to you on the
Errata
Reference Listing For All Books page, listed by
yarn
designer and book name. Please note that these errors may be
corrected in subsequent printing of books.
