What are your shipping Prices?
On this site: www.SkeinScene.com :
If You Choose Priority Shipping: All domestic shipping is now $5.75 for priority shipping no matter how much you
buy.
 
NOTE:  If you are ordering more than just 1 book, or a Rowan Magazine, it will ship Media Mail,
regardless of what method you choose, due to cost to ship. Also, Packages over 5 lbs will usually ship UPS
Ground, which usually arrives in 3 days.

All domestic shipping is now $5.25 no matter how much you buy. We try to ship priority mail when we can. Multiple books will 
ship media mail which is a 2-9 day service. We do ship UPS ground for extra heavy packages, usually over 5lbs.

Do you ship outside the US and if so, what do you charge for shipping outside of the US?
 
   Yes. We now ship to Canada, and the United Kingdom through our www.SkeinScene.com site!
    We only use Priority Mail International to the United Kingdom, due to several issues with lost packages shipped otherwise. Shipping
     to Canada costs $19.50, and shipping to the UK costs $23.50.  We do not try to make money on shipping cost, so if there is a
    difference, we will refund your order. If there is a discrepancy and it costs more, we will notify you via email 
    of the additional amount you owe. If you would like us to ship to another country, send an email to barbara@skeinscene.com and we
    will look into it for you and email you the price.

How do you ship? What carriers do you use?
 
Ground. And for Rowan Magazines which are quite a bit heavier than regular books, and orders of multiple books, we use USPS 
Media Mail. We reserve the right to change shipping carriers or shipping methods at our discretion due to special situations.
 
If you'd like us to expedite your order, please contact us by sending an email to: barbara@SkeinScene.com with the word EXPEDITE
in the subject line. We will notify you of the additional shipping charges, and send you a request for payment through PayPal.
 
All orders received before 5pm, Central Standard Time will generally ship out within 1 - 2 business days unless there is an
issue with your order. For example: orders placed on Thursday, before 5pm Central will generally ship out Friday or Saturday. Orders 
that come in on Saturday or Sunday will generally go out Monday or Tuesday. If there is an issue, you will be contacted by the email
address you provided on your PayPal account.  If you would like to check the status of your order, you can email

How can I view my cart, when I am ordering items?
 
When you add an item for order, another tab will open at the top of the screen with your shopping cart. So you will now have two
tabs open; one with our site, Skein Scene, and a second one to the right of that one, called, "Your Shopping Cart - PayPal". You can
view your shopping cart, by clicking on the "Shopping Cart" tab at the top of the screen.
 
Then to go back to our site to add more items, just click the tab to the left of the shopping cart tab, which will be titled the name of the
yarn you were last viewing. For instance, if you were looking at Noro Kureyon Yarn on our site, the tab will be called "Noro Kureyon
Yarn" at the top of the page.
 
As you add more yarns to the cart, by selecting the "Add to Cart" button, it will not take you back to the cart each time you add one.
But you can see that the items were added, by clicking on the tab at the top of the screen called "Your Shopping Cart - PayPal". You
can move back and forth between the two screens by selecting the appropriate tab at the top.
 
When you are ready to check out, go back to the tab that has your shopping cart, and select the Check Out button.
 
Please Note: The "View Cart" button on the page will not take you to the cart if you already have items in your cart. It will only take 
you there if you do not already have a second tab open at the top of the page. This button is useful if you accidentally close down
your cart tab at the top, so that you can open it back up to see all the items you have added.

When I try to check out, it asks me to sign up for, or sign in to a PayPal account. Can I
order without having to go through PayPal?
 
YES! You can now order without using PayPal at our Etsy Site: SkeinSceneCom!

 What if I would like to pay by check? 

You Certainly Can! There are two ways to pay by check. You can pay by e-check through PayPal if you have a PayPal account. Once    your e-check clears k clears your account, your order will be fulfilled. Sometimes it can take 5 days for an order to clear your account, before PayPal will allow us access to process your order.

The second option is to send a check to our address. We will deposit it into our bank account, and as soon as your check clears, we will send your order out. You would need to email us to let us know you would like to pay by check, with the items and quantities you    would like to order.  Send the email to: barbara@skeinscene.com We will want to check our inventory to ensure we can fill your order before you send the check. Once we have verified that we have the items in stock, we will send you the amount including any tax and shipping charges that apply. You can then send the check to:

 How do I know if my order was placed?
After you place an order on www.SkeinScene.com, you will be taken to our Thank You (for placing an order) page. If you are directed to this page after you place an order, your order has been received. Thank You Very Much, by the way! Also, you will receive a confirmation from PayPal. This will give you your Transaction Number.
 Your transaction number will look like this in the email you receive from PayPal:  
 Payment Sent (Unique Transaction ID #8W17582304755070B)
 After you place an order on Etsy, you will also receive an email receipt with your purchase information on it.
 We do not send a notification that we received your order. We set up paypal to send you a receipt so that you know that your order was received. Etsy will also send you a receipt of purchase.

Can I place an order with you over the phone?
At this time we do not take credit card orders over the phone. However, if you have trouble ordering through out website, please send
us an email with the items you would like to order, and we'll be happy to send you a 'request for payment' through PayPal.

Do you charge Sales Tax?
  
We charge a tax rate of 8.25% for orders shipping to or in the state of Texas.

What is your return policy?

If for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the product you purchased, you can return it within the first 14 days after you receive it.
Shipping cost is non-refundable, unless we made an error in the shipment.  YOU MUST send an email beforehand to
barbara@SkeinScene.com to let us know you are returning your item. Also, please include a note with your package and include your original ordering information and reason for your return.

Product Info FAQ

I notice that you are out of stock on some colors.
How do I order that color if I don't mind waiting for it?

If there is a specific color that you are interested in that is out of stock, send us an email, ((barbara@SkeinScene.com) and in most
cases we will be able to order it for you. We will generally honor the price that is in effect at the time of your request, if you are
ordering a sufficient quantity of the yarn, unless the cost is prohibitive to have our distributor ship the yarn to us. Most yarns only
take a week for us to receive. Once we receive your email, we will contact our distributor to find out how long it will take for us to
receive that yarn, and we will contact you and let you know the estimated time frame. Please include your contact phone number in your email.

How do I know if you will have the amount I order, in stock?
We no longer limit the quantity available through our ordering system. Please Please Please refresh your page before adding an item
to the cart. You can do this by holding down your Ctrl Key (or Cmd key if you are using a Mac), while pressing the F5 button at the
top of your keyboard. Then please check the quantity on the page for the yarn and color you would like to order. Our stock status per
yarn is updated on our Skein Scene site nightly. If for some reason, someone has ordered from our Etsy site, and we haven't had a
chance to update our Skein Scene site, we will contact you and let you know that we did not have enough in stock to fill your order.


How do I know that I am getting all the same dyelot of a particular yarn?
The quantities we specify that we have online are for one dye lot. In other words, if we have two different dye lots of the same color,
we only list the quantities available for the dye lot we have the most of. For instance, pretend we have two dye lots for Noro Kureyon
color 149, quantity 10 of dye lot A and quantity 8 of dye lot B. We will only show that there are 10 skeins available to order. This is to
ensure that you always get all of the yarn of the same dye lot when you order. In that same example, if someone orders 4 of dye lot A,
so that we only have 6 left of Dye lot A, and we still have 8 of dye lot B, we will change our number available to quantity 8.

How do I request a specific dyelot?
If you would like to check to see if we have a specific dye lot, we recommend you send us an email with the words "Dye Lot Request"
in the subject line to barbara@SkeinScene.com . All of our available yarns are on the web, so if you don't see a specific color number,
it's because we don't have it. Please do not call us with dye lot requests. You will get a faster answer on email. Please understand that
our focus is on getting orders out in a timely fashion, and keeping the website up to date with current information.

hy we like Etsy
We made the decision to go to Etsy because we can offer our customer's additional savings coupons through Etsy, and we were not
able to find a way to do it through our present system. We can also update quantities and change prices very quickly and easily,
making it easier for us to have sales, so that our customers can save money. Also, we liked that customers could use their own
methods of payment without having to use PayPal, if they wanted to. It's an easy way for us to keep you updated on quantities
available for each yarn, add new items, and offer you many ways to save.

 We will keep our site here, at www.SkeinScene.com also, for those of you who already have it bookmarked, so that you can find us
easily. We will keep the quantities updated here also. You just need to refresh your page to show the correct quantities available
before ordering. The easy way to do this is hold down the Control key (Ctrl) on your keyboard while pressing the F5 button on your

yarn designer and book name. Please note that these errors may be corrected in subsequent printing of books.
