Noro yarns. Most patterns can be made with either of
the following yarns: Cash Iroha
or Kureyon or Silk Garden or Silver Thaw. Jane Ellison
describes the Noro Unlimited Book as follows: "My
fourth Noro book plays with the beautiful striping
effect of the Noro yarns.As with my last books, I have
continued the philosophy of simple straightforward
patterns that let the exciting yarns do the work but
this time looked at these stripes in a different way!
I have used stripe patterns to enhance the multi
coloured stripes. As always the intense colours of the
Noro Yarns means each garment you create is truly
unique however in this book I've take this further by
playing with the solid colour of Cash Iroha with the
varigated yarns.The knitter has the choice of
thickness of stripe to create many different garments
from one simple pattern.I have looked at the stripes
from another way in two patterns. In Sherbourne I've
pick up stitches along the front edge and knitted an
elongated front edging to create vertical stripes,
while Laurence is knitted on the side to create
stripes that go vertically throughout the whole
garment.
Finally, I have created a felted bag that can use many
different Noro yarns, Cash Iroha, Kureyon, Silk Garden
or Silk Mountain. By felting these striped bags it
creates beautiful blocks of colours interrupted by
other blocks of colours.
With the colourful Noro Yarns knitting with them is
just as fun as the unique end result, which is
unlimited! ". |
